Gargoyle Gecko (Rhacodactylus auriculatus)
Gargoyle Geckos are one of the most popular New Caledonian species thanks to their gentle temperament, beautiful patterns, and easy care needs. These babies/juveniles are thriving and full of personality. Known for their bumpy “horns” and wide range of colors, Gargoyles make excellent display geckos and are suitable for a variety of keepers.

Highlights:

  • Scientific Name: Rhacodactylus auriculatus

  • Lifespan: 15–20+ years in captivity

  • Size: 7–9 inches as adults

  • Diet: Commercial gecko diet (CGD), insects such as crickets, dubia, and Black Soldier Fly Larvae

  • Enclosure: Vertical setup; 18”x18”x24” recommended for adults; branches, cork, plants, and plenty of climbing space

  • Temperature/Humidity: Ambient 72–78°F, no intense heat; humidity 50–70% with daily misting
