Mata Mata Turtle (Chelus fimbriata)
The Mata Mata Turtle is one of the most unique and prehistoric-looking turtles in the hobby. With its leaf-like head, flat shell, and incredible camouflage, this species is a true showpiece for experienced keepers. They are primarily ambush predators, spending much of their time motionless in the water, waiting to suction-feed on passing fish.
