Please note: Some reptiles and exotic animals may require special permits as regulated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). It is the buyer’s responsibility to obtain the proper permits prior to purchase. Animals that require a permit will not be released until we have received a copy of your valid permit on file. We do not make exceptions to this policy, as we are a licensed and inspected facility required to comply with all state laws.

Terms & Conditions for Shipped Live Reptiles
All live reptile purchases from Birds & Reptiles Plus are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Live Arrival Guarantee
We guarantee live arrival only when the shipment is sent to a staffed FedEx Ship Center and picked up promptly. Shipments delivered to residential addresses or unattended drop-off locations are not covered under this guarantee.
Shipping Schedule
Live reptile orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday to ensure safe delivery before the weekend. Orders placed by 12:00 PM EST will ship the same day. Orders placed after this time will ship on the next available shipping day.
Weather Considerations
We monitor weather conditions closely. Heat or cold packs will be included as needed to protect the animal during transit. Shipping may be delayed if temperatures are determined to be unsafe.
Carrier Liability
Once a package is in transit, we are not responsible for carrier delays, damage, or mishandling. Please ensure your contact information is correct and that you or your designated person is available for pickup.
Pickup Responsibility
To qualify for our live arrival guarantee, your reptile must be picked up within 2 hours of its arrival at the FedEx location. Failure to do so voids the guarantee.
Health and Acclimation
All reptiles are shipped in good health. We recommend allowing your new pet 24 to 48 hours to acclimate to its new environment before handling or feeding.
No Returns on Live Animals
Due to the nature of live animal sales, returns or exchanges are not accepted on reptiles.

Terms & Conditions for Hand-Fed Baby Birds & Exotic Pets
All purchases of hand-fed baby birds and exotic pets from Birds & Reptiles Plus are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Health Guarantee
We guarantee that all birds and exotic pets are healthy at the time of sale. Our hand-fed birds are fully weaned (unless otherwise noted) and socialized through regular human interaction. Exotic pets are sold only when determined to be stable and ready for their new homes.
Shipping Policy (Birds Only)
We offer airport-to-airport shipping for birds via approved airline carriers. Shipping is available only to major airports with a live animal cargo facility.
Pickup Policy
In-store pickup is available for all birds and exotic pets. At the time of pickup, staff will review proper care, diet, and handling guidelines with you. We strongly recommend that new owners ask questions and gather care supplies in advance.
Holding Policy
Animals may be held with a non-refundable deposit, which is applied toward the final purchase price. The remaining balance is due by the agreed pickup or shipping date. Failure to pay the remaining balance will void the agreement, and the deposit will be forfeited.
Care Commitment
By purchasing, you confirm that you understand the animal’s care requirements, lifespan, and the responsibility involved. We are available for questions and support before and after your purchase.
No Returns or Exchanges
Due to health risks and stress associated with rehoming, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on live animals.
Post-Sale Responsibility
Once the animal leaves our care—either via pickup or shipment—we are not responsible for any health issues resulting from improper care, diet, handling, or failure to follow our guidance.

At Birds & Reptiles Plus, we do not purchase unwanted pets. However, we may accept surrendered animals on a case-by-case basis for the purpose of rehoming them responsibly.
